Liz Damstetter, MD
Dr. Liz Damstetter is a board-certified dermatologist and expert in general and cosmetic dermatology, as well as the owner and founder of Reserve Dermatology & Aesthetics. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS) Board of Directors.
A native Iowan, Dr. Damstetter attended the University of Iowa for her undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and graduating summa cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa designation. She continued in medical school at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, where she earned Alpha Omega Alpha status as a junior initiate. Dr. Damstetter subsequently completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center, followed by a 2-year Clinical Trials Fellowship in Dermatology at Northwestern University. Dr. Damstetter completed her Dermatology residency training at the esteemed Boston University Medical Center, where she gained further sub-specialized training in hair loss, pigmentary disorders, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Damstetter is currently an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Rush University Medical Center and teaches both medical students and residents, with an emphasis in procedural and aesthetic dermatology. She has publications in the areas of acne, hair loss, laser treatments, body image, and cosmetics, and has given multiple podium presentations on the relationship between body image and cosmetic procedures.
